Hello Barnstormers,

The snow is almost gone, and the date has been set for this year. The 14th of September 2013 is the date, and the bands are now being finalized. More new projects and improvements will hopefully be fulfilled by then. Stay tuned for further updates on the website and join us on facebook for more up to the minute details. See ya then.

Replacing “Bang on the Ear” is “Mahogany Frog”, an instrumental electronic rock band from Winnipeg. Check out the lineup for more information.

Change of plans

Unfortunately, the band “Bang on the Ear” has cancelled. Negotiations are in play to find a replacement band. Please stay tuned.

So, things are coming along nicely on the site, (I think). This years lineup is now posted here, and soon I’m going to try and post youtube video’s and mp3′s. Don’t forget the date, rain or shine September 15th, 2012.

There was no other choice. The Ottawa Folk Festival and Barnstorm has conflicting dates this year. Traditionally Barnstorm is held on the first Saturday after Labour Day weekend. Not that Barnstorm has the same stature as the Folk Festival, but since CKCU-FM plays a vital role in both music Festivals, this year, Barnstorm will be held September 15th, 2012.

New date for Barnstorm 13???

Perhaps a game changer. The Ottawa Folk Festival is being held this year from Sept 6-9, which conflicts with Barnstorm 13 which was to be held Sept 8th. It seems the day for Barnstorm will be moved. Stay tuned for details!

Once a year, our 150-year-old barn, the “Odditorium”, located in the Sanctuary comes to life with friends, locals and music lovers at Barnstorm. Five to six live bands of various genres, along with a DJ in the “Chill Zone” spinning tunes, make Barnstorm an event you won’t want to miss.
